This is the first full year that Sobbing is competing in the Malvern Bank Series on a full time basis. Sobbing has three wins in the series in 2017 (Crawford County Speedway in Denison, Iowa, Raceway Park in Jefferson, South Dakota and Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas. In addition to his three wins, Sobbing has 11 top fives, and 14 top tens and is fifth in Malvern Bank Super Late Model points with 1,422.

This past weekend Sobbing clinched the IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series Championship.
