Berck takes inaugural Off Road SLMR Race
The Malvernbank.com SLMR Series made its inaugural visit to the new Off Road Speedway in Norfolk on Saturday, July 25 with “the Marquette Missile” Kyle Berck picking up his 58th career SLMR series victory. A great field of 30 Late Models showed up for the event and provided the fans in the packed grandstands with some great four wide racing in the heat races.
In the feature after a false start for a three car accident, the race went wire-to-wire with Berck leading all 30 laps from the pole. The win was worth $2,000. Following Berck to the line were RC Whitwell in the Al Humphrey #6, Tad Pospisil, Bill Leighton, Jr., and Justin Zeitner.
Following the event, Pospisil stays on top the point standings with 574 followed by Leighton, Jr., at 550, Berck at 548, Whitwell at 540 and Buller at 524.

The series returns to action this weekend with a big doublheader. First, on Friday, July 31 the series makes it’s first visit to the Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa and then on Saturday, August 1 it moves over to Raceway Park in Jerfferson, South Dakota.
