Schaller repeats, Brian Kosiski wins at US30
After scoring his initial SLMR feature win the week before at Adams County Speedway, Omaha’s Ben Schaller carried the momentum on to the Junction Motor Speedway near McCool Junction on Saturday, August 27 by holding off Matt Buller to pick up his second win in a row. Brad Perdue, Jase Kaser and Brian Kosiski rounded out the top five. There were 24 Late Models on hand.

The following night the series traveled to the US 30 Speedway near Columbus where Brian Kosiski picked up his second career SLMR feature win by holding off the charge of Tad Pospisil. Nate Beyenhof, Matt Buller and Andrew Kosiski rounded out the top five. 28 cars were on hand.

Following this past weekend’s races Kyle Berck has retaken the SLMR point lead with 1,286 points with Bill Leighton, Jr. at 1,278, Ben Schaller at 1,260, Corey Zeitner at 1,188 and Brian Kosiski at 1,148. The Malvernbank.com SLMR series has two events remaining on the 2016 schedule. On Friday, September 9 they will be at Eagle Raceway for the Nebraska Cup and then on Saturday, October 1 they will finish out the season at I-80 Speedway for the Midwest Fall Brawl 5.
